RIDING OUT ON ˝MRCINA˝ RANCH

Bohinj is a natural area that invites exploration and adventure, and riding across the magnificent countryside that Bohinj has preserved can only heighten this sense providing an exhilarating and marvellous way of experiencing the fantastic scenery of the ˝Triglav˝ national park.

˝Mrcina˝ Ranch offers a wide variety of horse riding tours, and we are happy to help you pick the riding tour that suits you. We offer tours from one hour up to 2 days.
After a short introduction and practice in the training ring you will betaken out into the surrounding nature. Total beginners are advised to take two hours of riding lessons to get knowledge of the basic riding skills. Various riding tours are available, through the valley, over medium hills like Senožeta and a bit higher up onto the plateau of Pokljuka.

Horse riding in Bohinj, for obvious reasons, is very popular during the warmer months but not many people realise it can also be very rewarding on a snowy winter’s day. The fields look fabulous under a blanket of snow and what better way to explore them than on hoof!
Therefore riding is possible throughout the year. In summer we don’t ride in the mid-day heat, but early in the morning and late afternoon.

In the peak-season (July, August) the horses do have one day off to rest. This is usually on Mondays but could be on other days, depending on the weather.
